Self-Care Rituals & Sacred Spaces: Karina Sitaldas, astrologer, tarot and oracle reader

My name is Karina and I am a Lover of love and nature. Astrology is my language and the way I make sense of the current world we're living in. I'm a Leo Sun, Taurus Moon & Libra Rising. That means I love creating and laughing - I'm a child at heart and being around children always brings me so much joy, my home is my ultimate sanctuary and I love engaging my senses whether it's through a delicious meal, a yummy scented candle like Rella Essentials' Love and Light, cuddling up with my fiancé or listening to eargasmic music. I believe that there is something beautiful to appreciate in everything, and finding what that is my go-to practice as a Libra rising with Jupiter conjunct my ascendant.

Learning Astrology has really helped me learn more about myself as a global citizen. Ever since I began diving deeper, I've felt a call to share more about it with as many people as I can so you may discover your own blueprint according to the stars. In order to do this and share more about my learnings through Tarot, Oracle, the Akashic Records and art, I began my passion project, Starry Starry Vibes, with the intention of harmonizing the planet's frequency one earthling at a time. This name comes from the belief that we all come from the stars and to the stars we will return.
Currently, I offer Tarot & Oracle readings as well as Astro chats, (which I am so excited about!) for you to learn either more about yourself or your relationship through the lens of the stars. This one is special to me because this is truly what helped me learn more about my own relationship.

How long have you been practicing your craft?

I got my first Tarot book and deck around 3 years ago and I've been hooked ever since. I started practicing Astrology around the same time. Growing up, I always loved looking at my horoscope on magazines until I got skeptical about why the advice for all signs were applicable to me. Now I know that it's cause we have every single sign in our birth chart. Magick has always called out to me though and I've always been interested in the occult ~ always wanting to talk about the things that no body else wanted to go too deep into so I'm so grateful for this community.

What’s your daily self-care ritual like?

I begin my day by focusing on something I'm grateful for before I get out of bed to start my day in a prime way. After a shower, I put on my meditation playlist, do some asanas and stretch, and then I have a cup of warm water with lemon and a fruit as I pull Tarot & Oracle cards to guide me through the day. After this, I usually list down things that I am grateful for and any realizations I had through my morning practice.
Considering that Astrology is my language through, this looks different for me daily depending where the moon is that day. If it's in a ay fire sign my self-care looks like allowing myself to burn off some extra energy through a hiit workout or zumba. On a day it's in an earth sign, I spend some time outside with my plants and picking up on some earth wisdom. On an air moon day, I incorporate breathwork and a water moon day is a day for flow. This actually works really well in being able to harness the natural magick around us always.

What products/items have you been using for your daily rituals?

I love using Rella Essentials' candles to engage my senses in rituals, Witching Hour is my personal fav. It makes magick work feel more legit for me. As well as the face mask, smells so good! Ninma's tinctures and oils are also amaaazing, as well as their bath set. UiU's black salt has been my recent go-to for protection and cleansing. Maya Cacao Magic's cacao is my ultimate comfort drink with some ashwagandha and cinnamon. Such a beautiful heart opener for ritual.

What’s your sacred space like?

My room is my sacred space and it's my favorite place to be. I have a rug where I preform most of my ritual work and meditations as well as yoga, with wide windows which allow me to see the trees outside and birds that usually sit on my neighbor's roof. I have an altar too which usually has some flowers, crystals which I re-grid every full moon after they charge, a picture of Krishna and a painting of Ganesh as well as a painting of the Angkor Wat. I also have tapestries which help me feel like I’m in a different world and lots and lots of dreamcatchers.

What do you do to calm yourself on a stressful day?

I love this question!️ Usually, I'll stop to ask my heart what she would like to do. Sometimes it's a bath with Rella Essentials' magickal bath salts, sometimes it's spending time outside in nature and asking for guidance, other times it's a cuppa cacao and a good ol' astro nidra or going to the roof to watch the sunset and star/moon gaze. Something that never fails me too is a quick yoga with Adriene video. When I'm in a funk and I know it, my favorite thing to do is block out the world with headphones and dance to party music. Something that I find really helps me too is to identify if I'm moving from a place of gratitude or lack, then switch to gratitude. It makes a world of difference.
